I’ve been a nurse, a midwife, a teacher, a shamanic healer, a wife and mother. I’ve learned from many wise teachers and learned from so many wonderful students. From the crone’s perspective, I see a connecting thread running through my life since childhood, as wisewoman,  witch, and mystic, lover of the woods and wild places, maybe seen as the weirdo, who talks to trees and plants and animals and spirits, who collects stones and shells, feathers and leaves, I really cherish the time I spend here! I sing and dance and dream.  And, I envision our return to our right relationship with the land and with the planets and stars, from whence we come and to whose mysteries we are once again called. I find wonder and meaning everywhere and I am in love with a life that offers this magical promise when we simply have the courage to hold all possibilities.

Creating, writing, and connecting with Spirit, brings me great joy. A philosopher's life, one who is always looking to expand beyond the previous limits of my knowledge. One who knows I don’t have all the answers, and rather than despair, finds joy in the mystery. I embrace the search.  I’m a seeker, and an alchemist.  I’m a magic geek and a research nerd and this all feels magically aligned for me. I love the mysteries of astrology and the great cosmic search to connect the dots of why we are here - to see a gorgeous pattern emerging and a new secret revealed by being bold enough to turn things upside down for a differentand broader perspective. I love a good rabbit hole and going deep for the discoveries made in this sacred space.

My writing reflects the stories, legends, and mythic truths that underscore our shared humanity, even as I notice our inhuman cruelties. We all have wounds. We all are storytellers.  It’s how we make sense of what defies reason! My seeking informs my writing and my healing offerings, as storytelling, teaching or guiding you to uncover your own hidden truths. 

I spent over 40 years serving women in mainstream healthcare settings, trying my best to make a difference for the people in my care. I have had a lifetime of advocacy for women and like our foremothers - and many accused witches who were burned or drowned for their troubles - I’m very accustomed to the demonization of women healers/change agents within patriarchal systems and the need to not openly declare for ‘Team Elphaba’.  I am also heartened everytime I see small communities of committed idealists and pragmatists working together to bring about meaningful change in our world. Making a difference matters to me. This is the light I carry, and (to paraphrase Gloria Steinem) hold high to illuminate the path for others! 

Witch, midwife, wisewoman, crone. I am an interpreter, and a skilled translator of labs and test results, when that is needed. I understand the systems and languaging within healthcare and how to guide you through what can be a strange and confusing maze.  Like a prism, reflecting and transforming the light that passes through it, I listen and take it all in, to reflect and assist in your transformative  journey and offer new ways of seeing. I hear YOU, through your story.
